Liddell Signs With Billikens

Tommie Liddell, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound swingman from East St. Louis High School, has decided to cross the Mississippi and attend Saint Louis next season.
Liddell had previously told Ryan Snyder of our affiliate OrangeandBlueNews.com that Marquette was his favorite and had been offered scholarships by Bradley and DePaul with Kansas also involved.

Liddell averaged 17.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.7 steals and 2.1 blocks per game last year. He shot 52.7 percent from the floor and 70 percent from the free throw line.
The Billikens, who along with the Charlotte 49ers are headed from Conference USA to the Atlantic 10 Conference in 2005-06, also announced the signing of two other local products, Luke Meyer, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from St. Francis Borgia in Washington, Mo., and Dwayne Polk, a 5-8 point guard from Vashon High School in St. Louis.
