LI Lutheran Blasts Grady

MIDDLE ISLAND, NEW YORK -- When Grady High School took the court yesterday to play in consolation bracket of the Rim Rocker tournament at Longwood High School, it was without its most explosive offensive player --- Quincy Douby.
Douby, who is committed to Hofstra, was benched for breaking team policy. It's unclear whether he will be playing today against Ben Franklin in a consolation game today.

So without Douby, it was doubtful the former City champs could hold their own against a very balanced Long Island Lutheran team. It wasn't long before Grady received its answer on whether they would stay with Long Island Lutheran.
At the half, Lutheran had a 20-point plus lead. After the third, it was 71-45. Garbage time lasted for the final eight minutes and LI Lutheran walked away with a 85-69 victory.
Arthur Onouro led LI Lutheran with 28 points while teammate Brandon Wilson added 22 points for the winners.
Lutheran will play Fairley High School today in a consolation game while Grady will play Ben Franklin. The schedule will be posted in the free part of rivalshoops.com.
