Lewis Has Many Interested
Marques Lewis, a burly 6-8, 260 pound power forward from Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill., has many Division I colleges looking at him this fall.
Rivalshoops.com caught up with Wabash Valley Head Coach Mark Nelson at last weekend's Vincennes JUCO Jamboree in Indiana. He filled us in on Lewis' recruitment.

According to Nelson, roughly 15 or so schools have inquired about Lewis, who spent last year at Southwest Missouri State/West Plains J.C. in Missouri. Among that lot are Saint Louis, Illinois State and Creighton.
The Milwaukee native sat out the jamboree due to a knee injury.
Rivalshoops.com had the chance to catch Lewis a few years back on the AAU circuit, and he is a very skilled low post player who can score efficiently with his back to the basket. His weight can fluctuate greatly, which impacts his effectiveness on the court if it rises too high.
We'll keep you posted on Lewis' situation this winter, as he is not expected to make a decision until the spring.
