Lawrence nearing a decision

It appears that Marcus Lawrence, the 6-foot-0, 165-pound point guard from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev., is close to making a decision about his future. Lawrence indicated that two schools have emerged as the teams to beat in his recruitment, and he might be ready to decide sooner than expected.
"I am close to making a decision about my future," said Lawrence. "There is a chance that I might take another visit to UNLV and Minnesota, but I don't know if either of those visits will actually happen. Oregon State and UNLV are definitely the teams to beat in my recruitment.

"I have already been to Oregon State and loved everything about the visit," he added. "The coaching staff at Oregon State has always showed me the love throughout my recruitment. I really don't know if I need to take another visit. I might have a decision about my recruitment by Friday."
It appears that Lawrence is more than ready to make a decision about his future, but that is not necessarily the case. The 6-foot-0 floor general indicated that calling the coaches to inform them of his decision would be a difficult process.
"Its getting harder and harder to pick a school because of the relationships that I have built with the coaches that are recruiting me," said Lawrence. "The closer I get to making a decision, the harder the process actually becomes. If you check back with me on Friday, I might have a decision."
Marcus Lawrence Scouting Report: A terrific floor general, Lawrence is quick with the ball and excels at penetrating and then finding the open man. He is a very good passer. Quick on defense, but needs to get stronger to be a more solid defender. Outside shot is a question mark. -Jerry Meyer
