Lavender Sets Up Trips

Andrew Lavender, a 5-7, 155 pound point guard from Brookhaven H.S. in Columbus, Ohio who had an outstanding summer, has set up visits to five schools -- Pittsburgh, Clemson, Oklahoma, Marquette, and Mississippi.
According to his coach, Bruce Howard of All Ohio, Lavender will take his first visit to Pittsburgh the weekend of August 30th. "He is also going to visit Clemson on September 5th, Oklahoma on September 13th, Marquette on September 21st, and Mississippi on October 4th," Howard said. "Then he will make his decision after his visits."

Other schools recruiting Lavender include Cincinnati, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Rutgers and Seton Hall. However, the five schools above really have the best shot at landing Lavender.
RivalsHoops.com's number 82 player in the class of 2003 was elevated into the top 25 in the latest poll due to his sizzling summer.
And Lavender will play college ball with Brookhaven and All-Ohio AAU teammate, Brandon Foust. They will be a "package deal" for one program, according to Howard.
Lavender averaged 12 points and 11 assists per game as a junior last season leading Brookhaven to the state championship.
Lavender has an AAU tournament coming up in early September - the All-Nike tournament in Columbus, OH.
