Lavender Makes Decision

Andrew Lavender (right), a 5-7, 155 pound point guard from Brookhaven H.S. in Columbus, Ohio who had an outstanding summer, committed to Oklahoma tonight. He also seriously considered Pittsburgh. Previously, he also showed interest in Clemson, Marquette, and Mississippi.
Lavender took his first visit to Pittsburgh the weekend of August 30th. Previously, he was RivalsHoops.com's number 82 player in the class of 2003. Then he was elevated into the top 25 in the latest poll due to his sizzling summer.
And Lavender will play college ball with Brookhaven and All-Ohio AAU teammate, Brandon Foust, also committed to Oklahoma. They were be a "package deal" for one program. Lavender averaged 12 points and 11 assists per game as a junior last season leading Brookhaven to the state championship.
