Laurinburg Cruises Past St. James

ST. JAMES, Md. -- The Laurinburg Institiute grabbed a 42-21 half-time lead and never looked back, claiming a 93-56 victory over the host Saints on Friday afternoon at the 29th Annual St. James Invitational Tournament.
Regis Koundjia, a 6-7, 185 pound junior swingman, led the Tigers with 17 points.

Four other Laurinburg players hit double figures, including 5-11 senior guard Jon Lyles (15 points) and 6-8 forward Boubacar Coly (13 points).
Jared Knotts, a solid 6-5 senior forward, led St. James with 31 points in defeat. Brandon Monroe added 14 points for the Saints.
Laurinburg sent its "high school" squad to the event, meaning that some of the members of the "prep school" team did not attend.
Notable members of the other team include Auburn signee Terry Licorish and unsigned senior swingman Cortez Davis.
