Latest on Lucas

As the highest ranked unsigned point guard in the country, Jai Lucas has several schools trying to work their way into the mix with his original top four schools. As of now, however, the 5-foot-10, 160-pound point guard from Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas, is going through a string of unofficial visits with those original four schools.
Lucas' most recent visit took him to Oklahoma for the Sooners win over Texas Tech. Prior to that visit he watched Oklahoma State take on Texas A&M.

According to his father Coach John Lucas, they are working on arrangements to visit Kentucky when the Wildcats host Florida and Maryland when the Terrapins host North Carolina.
A couple other schools are making a strong push for Lucas as well.
"Iowa and North Carolina State are trying hard right now," said Coach Lucas. "Florida also came to a game recently, but going there just doesn't make a lot of sense since they have a commitment from Erving Walker, who is also a small point guard."
Don't expect a decision from Lucas until right before the late signing period in April.
