Latest On Armando Surratt

Armando Surratt, a jet quick 5-10, 153 pound point guard from Oakland Tech H.S. in Oakland, Calif., has not committed to a school just yet.
Reached late Thursday night by the Insiders Report, Surratt said that reports that have him pegged for Georgetown are a bit premature.

Georgetown was one of the schools that Surratt listed when we spoke with him last week at the adidas ABCD Camp, in addition to Miami, UCLA, Southern California, Mississippi State, San Jose State, Texas El Paso and Tulsa.
In addition, he said he is now fielding calls from new suitors like Florida State and Michigan State.
"I never said I committed there," Surratt explained. "I said I liked the school but I did not say I wanted to go there."
Surratt said his comments about Georgetown may have misinterpreted by others as a commitment to the school.
"I told my 805 coach [George Albanez] that I liked the school a lot, and that I would not mind going there, but I never told the coaches from Georgetown that I wanted to attend their school."
Surratt said he is looking forward to the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas next week, where he will play with 805.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his play next week from the event, so stay tuned to this site as the July evaluation period kicks back off on Wednesday.
