The addition of Brown, who was the No. 7 shooting guard and No. 54 overall prospect in the 2008 class, propels Texas ahead of Villanova to No. 2 in the national team recruiting rankings. Texas, who has two top 10 prospects and two four-star prospects in its 2009 recruiting class, is behind Kentucky who has the No. 1 spot in the 2009 team recruiting rankings.
