Larry Turner Update

MIDDLE ISLAND, NEW YORK -- Celestial Prep head coach Darryl Schofield told rivalshoops.com last night that he expects to have another top flight player in his program by next week.
Schofield told us that Larry Turner, a 6-10, 225 pound power forward/center from Georgia, will be on his team's roster next week. "Larry said he wants to come," Schofield said. "So we are going to take him and try and help him out."

Schofield said he wasn't sure whether Turner would eventually return to Georgia but indicated that Larry's recruiting is now open.
Last year, Turner played at Baldwin H.S. in Milledgeville, Ga.. When he committed to Georgia, Turner told us: "I wanted to play for a winner," Turner said. "Coach Harrick and his staff are winners. Coach Harrick has won everywhere he has gone. He is going to turn it around there. I want to be part of it."
Turner had pared his list to five schools two summers ago. He previously had been hearing from Clemson, NC State, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Villanova, and Alabama.
Whether any of the above schools get involved remains to be seen. But Turner's first goal, according to Schofield, is to get himself academically eligible. If he does, then you can expect some top names to get involved.
