Larry Turner Ends Up In Maine

Bridgton head coach Whit Lesure told rivalshoops.com today that forward Larry Turner is now at his school. The Georgia native had committed to the University of Georgia via a letter of intent last year.
However, Turner did not get an eligible test score. Sources tell us that Turner now only needs to qualify on the ACT or SAT. Initially, Celestial Prep coach Darryl Schofield had told us that he expected Turner to be at his school.

But the plans changed and now Turner is now at Bridgton Academy in Maine. Turner, a 6-10, 225 pound power forward/center from the state of Georgia, will be on hand to battle Worcester Academy tomorrow night at a prep tournament in Connecticut.
Last year, Turner played at Baldwin H.S. in Milledgeville, Ga.. When he committed to Georgia, Turner told us: "I wanted to play for a winner," Turner said. "Coach Harrick and his staff are winners. Coach Harrick has won everywhere he has gone. He is going to turn it around there. I want to be part of it."
According to Whit Lesure, Turner is still committed to Georgia.
