Lang names leader

According to Trey Lang, the 6-foot-7, 215-pound power forward from Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga., a leader has emerged in his recruitment. However, the three-star prospect isn't ready to make a decision just yet. A number of high-major programs are making a strong push for the talented Lang.
"I came back from an official visit to UMASS about three weeks ago," said Lang. "I liked the visit a lot and the coaches and players at UMASS are real cool. I am planning to take an official visit to Central Florida on October 20. I am also trying to put something together with Oregon.

"Things have been very hectic and crazy around here," he added. "I have scholarship offers from Oregon, Virginia, Central Florida, Bradley, Rhode Island and Auburn. Those are the schools that I remember off the top of my head."
Despite the fact that so many high-major programs are making a strong push for Lang, it appears that one school in particular has emerged as the team to beat in his recruitment. As previously mentioned, Lang is planning to take several official visits, but there is no doubt that UMASS will be tough to beat.
"UMASS did an in-home visit with me and it went great," said Lang. "It was real cool. Oregon came to the gym to watch me practice and Central Florida did the same. I really want to take all five official visits before I pick a school. I would like to get a feel for each school that I like.
"UMASS is definitely the top school on my list," he added. "They are my leader and I had a great time on my visit. I think that it's best to look at some other schools before I decide. If I take all five visits and look at each school, I will be able to make the best decision for me."
