Lamptey Finds Home

Julius Lamptey, a massive 7-0, 307 pound center who committed to Georgia during the spring signing period, has decided to take his game and books to New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire, one of the country's top schools in preparing students for college.
Lamptey, who did not qualify academically, will need to strengthen his academic situation before he can play on the college level. And he will likely improve his game, like Rashad McCants and others have, at New Hampton Prep. Lamptey will have a chance to improve in two important areas -- academics and athletics. Many great players have attended this institution and have come away better students and players.

On offense, Lamptey has excellent hands and the ability to get off his feet fairly quickly relative to his massive size. "He's a legit seven-footer," explained Athletes First Head Coach Terry Evans.
RivalsHoops.com will keep you posted on how Lamptey progresses up North.
