Lambert Has An Offer

Ryan Lambert, an active 6-7, 198 pound power forward from Germantown, Md., turned in several fine performances at the Peach Jam this week.
Lambert, who attended Northwest H.S. in Germantown last year as a senior, is looking to prep in the fall. He told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he hopes to attend either the St. Thomas More School in Connecticut or Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.

Lambert said he has spoken with St. Thomas More Head Coach Jere Quinn, and right now the Chancellors are a very high option on Ryan's list.
Lambert spent two years at Montrose Christian under Head Coach Stu Vetter, but he left the school prior to the 2001-2002 school year.
George Washington, LaSalle, Boston University, St. Francis (PA) and Kent State have remained in touch with Lambert over the past year. Of that lot, only Kent State has offered, but that could change significantly after a year of prep school.
Lambert has the game of a power forward in a sleek, small forward type body. He has the frame to add more weight, and a prep school year would certainly be of assistance in that area.
Lambert works very hard on the offensive glass, and has a way of scoring around the tin thanks to his quick leaping ability.
Last season at Northwest H.S., he averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks per contest. He didn't graduate from high school, meaning that he will have the opportunity to boost his core GPA in prep school this year.
Also on the positive side is the fact that Lambert has already scored a 950 on the SAT exam. If he is able to boost his core in line with NCAA standards (which should be in the 2.1/2.2 range based on the sliding scale), he should be eligible to play at an NCAA Division I school in 2003-2004.
Lambert, who has already taken unofficial visits to George Washington and Boston University over the past year, plans to wrap up the summer with the D.C. Blue Devils at AAU Nationals in Florida.
We will keep you posted on where he lands in the fall, so stay tuned to Rivalshoops.com for more details in the weeks to come.
