Kyle Wilson Has Top Two List

Kyle Wilson, a 6-8, 215 pound combination/power forward from Jesuit H.S. in Dallas, Tex., has a pair of colleges at the top of his list this summer.
According to his dad Steve, Kyle has a pair of upcoming visits set for Illinois and Notre Dame, which are the two programs atop his list.

Wilson will visit Illinois from Aug. 24-26, and then will trip to Notre Dame from Sept. 1-3.
Wilson is also considering four other schools -- Xavier, Stanford, Baylor and Northwestern.
Five of the six schools have offered with the exception of Stanford. Stanford typically does not offer prospective student-athletes until they have been accepted to the school by the admissions department.
Mr. Wilson said that Kyle is currently working on completing his application to Stanford, and it is the family's understanding that a scholarship offer is forthcoming once he gets accepted.
That said, Wilson's recruiting process might not get that far, as his visits to Illinois and Notre Dame could very well tell the story.
"We would anticipate probably making a decision by mid-September," Mr. Wilson said. "Kyle has a comfort level with Notre Dame and Illinois and likes Stanford a lot, but I would still think that Notre Dame and Illinois would have the edges there. So if those are his top two schools, and he takes those visits, and he likes one or the other, then there is really no use in going any further."
If for some reason Wilson is uncertain after his visits to Notre Dame and Illinois, his recruiting process might open up a bit, giving the other four schools on his list more of a shot to land him.
As of right now, no in-home visits have been set up, but that could change depending on how his trips to Illinois and Notre Dame go.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Wilson's recruitment, so stay tuned for more info on Wilson's trips in the coming weeks.
