Kostic Still Open

Ivan Kostic, a 6-7 forward from Croatia who plays with Jason Smith's Brewster Academy program, has found some time off the bench and has been productive at times.
Kostic is likely to end up at a mid-major school. "He has the Ivy League, Patriot League and Bowling Green is also interested in him," Smith told us recently.

With a qualifying test score already in tow, Kostic kind of grew on RivalsHoops.com the past couple of weeks in watching him play. He showed adequate ball handling skills for a player of his size, and was also effective as a spot up shooter.
While Kostic needs to add size and strength to his frame, Kostic is mobile enough to get out and defend on the perimeter. Should be a key target for many low-mid major type programs this winter.
Ivan has already achieved a 1200 on his SAT. He also claims a 3.8 GPA. So Ivan is all set academically. Ohio State and Pepperdine called early on in the process but Smith told us that they are not seriously involved right now.
Kostic also plays for the junior National team for the country of Spain so he has seen his fair share of competition on an international basis.
