Konovelchick Will Have Visitors

Mike Konovelchick, a 6-4 and 200-pound swingman from New Hampton School in New Hampshire, will have coaches from Penn State and Manhattan watching him work out over the next couple of weeks, according to head coach Jamie Arnesault. He is also receiving interest from James Madison.
Konovelchick (pictured right) is a good athlete who also is a kicker on the football team. This past season he knocked one through the goalposts from 50 yards out.

He is also a good basketball player who can score points in bunches. Rivalshoops.com saw Konovelchick play several times (Russ Blake & Mike Sullivan) this season. In one game last month, Konovelchick torched fundamentally sound St. Thomas More for 21 points in the second half. But Konovelchick had games like that many times this past season for the NEPSAC champions.
Mike moves the ball well up the court and is a good passer. There was some previous interest by Ohio State but the Buckeyes could possibly land Tony Stockman and J.J. Sullinger, if J.J. gets his release. (See other story on Sullinger on front page)
Kansas State requested tape but has yet to make a move. Konovelchick is open, according to Arnesault.
