Because of a misunderstanding between Auburn and Lawrence Kinnard, his scheduled visit last weekend has been postponed to November 5. But the rescheduling might just be a formality as the 6-foot-6, 186-pound small forward from Raleigh-Egypt High School in Memphis, Tenn., is poised to make a commitment to an emerging power in Conference USA.

“I didn’t go down to Auburn because of a misunderstanding,” said Kinnard, the No. 74 ranked player in the Rivals150. “We have rescheduled it for November 5th.”
Kinnard has also rescheduled some other visitation dates. He is slated to visit Arkansas State on October 22 and Ole Miss on October 29.
Nonetheless, there is a very good chance that none of these visits will take place.
“If I commit this weekend, I won’t take any of these visits,” said Kinnard. “There is a good possibility I will commit to UAB after I visit there this weekend.
“I want to check out their style of practice and the way they play while I am there. I also want to make sure what the coaches have been telling me is true.”
Snagging Kinnard would be a great catch for the Blazers. He is an athletic, run/jump prospect who could play the three or four in UAB’s wide open style of play. He has a developing skill set as a do everything type of player. Last season he averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks while leading Raliegh-Egypt to the state tournament.
