Kingwood profile: Leonard Washington
Leonard Washington can cross off the Kingwood Classic from his to-do list. The Louisiana native came to the prestigious event and gave opponents plenty to worry about.

"This is my first time to playing the Kingwood and I'm loving it," Washington said. "It's all about having good times, getting better and winning games."
Watch Washington play and you can tell he's having fun and he certainly helped his R.B. All-Stars play deep into the Platinum B bracket.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound beast is cut from the Craig Smith/P.J. Tucker mold. Washington tried to extend his game out to the perimeter but had better success as block forward or a bull with the ball in his hands, attacking from the wing. There aren't many players that want to stand in his way for an offensive charge or try to jump with him to challenge at the rim.
Washington said he is trying to improve his wing skills this spring and summer on the AAU trail.
"I've got a lot to work on with my game," Washington admitted. "No one is a complete product. I want to get better with my dribbling skills and what else it takes to be a small forward. I want to be the best college player I can be."
College coaches came out in full force to see the five-star forward play on Saturday morning. At least a dozen schools were on hand to see Washington and his teammates play.
Washington told Rivals.com that Oklahoma State, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado State, Mississippi State and LSU are recruiting him the hardest. Washington said he'd like to get away from home for college.
"I want to get out of Louisiana," Washington said. "It's not that LSU and the state schools are bad programs. I just want to get out on my own and see how it goes."
Washington's next stop is the Tournament of Champions in North Carolina with the Louisiana Stars. He said he is also planning on attending the ABCD camp in July.
