Khary Nicholas Makes A Verbal Commitment

Nicholas had also been looked at this fall by Idaho, but he decided to cast his lot with Eastern Washington after taking a recent official visit to the Big Sky Conference school.
A native of Tacoma, Nicholas averaged 7.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game as a part-time starter. He shot 58.5 percent from the field last year for the 28-5 Titans.
As a high school senior, Nicholas led Foss H.S. to the State 4A championship and was named tournament MVP. At Eastern Washington, Nicholas will be reunited with former TCC players Keith Browne and Brendon Merritt, as well as former Foss H.S. teammate Mark Axton.
Nicholas is the Titans' sixth NCAA Division I signee in the past three years. His commitment comes on the heels of last week’s announcement by Josh Barsh to attend Montana State University next season. Nicholas will sign a national letter of Intent with the Eagles on Wednesday November 7th.
JUCO Junction would like to thank TCC Head Coach Carl Howell for his assistance in compiling this report.
