Kevin Young Has Top Three

Kevin Young, a massive 6-9, 288 pound power forward/center from the Berkshire School in Homestead, Fl., is seriously considering three schools this Fall -- Missouri, Kentucky, and Miami of Florida.

Young spoke to us from the Charlie Weber tournament in College Park, Maryland this past weekend.

"I have taken unofficials to LSU and Georgetown," Young said. "But they are not among my top three."

Young also mentioned Florida and South Florida but maintained he has a top three list. "I will take my visits sometime in October," Young said. "I have to take the SAT first before I do that."

Young said he is confident in getting the score. Young is coveted by many programs due to his combination of sheer size and excellent hands. Although he was not a primary offensive weapon this past summer for the Rashad Anderson led Tallahassee Wildcats, he showed enough good things to keep high Division I program interested in him.
