Kentucky scores juco shooter

Fresh off of another Final Four appearance, John Calipari and Kentucky continue to roll on the recruiting trail. Tuesday afternoon, they landed one of the nation's premier junior college players when four-star shooting guard Mychal Mulder signed.
A 6-foot-4 two-guard at Vincennes (Ind.) College, Mulder visited Lexington officially over the weekend before announcing his commitment and signing during a Tuesday afternoon ceremony at the school.

T.J. Walker of CatsIllustrated.com was on hand to report the announcement.
"I just thought at the end of the day, Kentucky, playing there was probably my best chance at continuing my career after college," Mulder said at his announcement. "I hope to play professionally one day, and I felt like that would probably be my best opportunity."
During his sophomore season at Vincennes, Mulder was named a junior college All-American while scoring around 16 points per game and shooting 46 percent from three-point range.
While the four-star prospect's shooting from deep immediately stands out, he is also a quick leaper who finishes above the rim on lob passes and in transition. Mulder will need to continue to develop his ball-handling, but his shooting should help cover the loss of freshman Devin Booker, who left for the NBA Draft.
Now that Mulder is official, the Wildcats have an outstanding four-man class that ranks among the nation's top three. He joins the No. 1 player in the class of 2015, Skal Labissiere, the nation's top point guard in 2015 Isaiah Briscoe and top 50 shooting guard Charles Matthews.
