Sources close to the situation confirmed that Willie Cauley picked John Calipari's Wildcats late Sunday night.
A native of tiny Spearville, Kan., the 7-foot tall Cauley made the move to Olathe (Kan.) Northwest prior to his junior year.
Since making the move, the mobile big man has flourished and he made a move this summer while running with MoKan Elite to establish himself as one of the top big men in the country.
Currently ranked No. 39 overall in the class of 2012, Cauley is a four-star prospect with considerable upside. He runs the floor extremely well, has outstanding hands, rebounds in and out of his area and is as good a shot blocker as there is in the senior class.
Cauley joins a recruiting class that already includes five-star shooting guard Archie Goodwin.
Rivals.com will have more on Cauley's commitment during the day.
