Kentucky adds 2008 prospect

Three-star 2008 prospect Donald Williams made a splash in the spring with his strong play at the Kingwood Classic and the Tournament of Champions. Today he began school at an SEC power.
After looking closely at Marquette and St. John's this summer, Williams, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound shooting guard, has landed at Kentucky after academically qualifying in July.

"Kentucky watched me some last year at Progressive Christian, and they really started recruiting me in July," said Williams. "They felt I was a good player and could help the program. It's a really good fit for me, and it's a great program. It's just a good situation, and I'm really excited about joining the program."
A physical guard, Williams is capable of moving up or down a position and thrives on scoring the ball. He was a top scorer at the Tournament of Champions and impressed with his play at the Kingwood Classic as well.
He joins a 2008 Kentucky recruiting class which is presently ranked No. 21 in the country and includes four-star prospects DeAndre Liggins and Darius Miller and three-star prospects Kevin Galloway and Josh Harrellson.
