Kenton Paulino Has Skills To Be Big Time Player

The stats weren't impressive after for Kenton Paulino on Friday night as his Maine Central Institute team wilted in the second half against St. Thomas More. But the stats don't tell the story for aulino, a slippery 6-2, 160 pound shooting/combo guard from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Maine.
Paulino didn't get many touches. "He can play and he has had some great games for us this year," MCI head coach Karl Henrikson said after the game. "He can get to the basket for us and shoot the jumper when he has to."

Paulino scored seven points but didn't take many shots. This is because most of the shots were taken by other members of the MCI squad. But, Pauline can score. It just wasn't his game to do so. "He is going to be a good player for Texas," Henrikson said. "He is very quick. He can score points in bunches."
During his recruiting process, Paulino had also been offered scholarships by Providence and Seton Hall, while George Mason has also expressed interest.
Paulino enjoyed a stellar career at Fremont H.S. in Los Angeles, putting up big numbers as a senior in the Southern California prep ranks.
"He a very competitive player," Henrikson said. "For a kid that size, he makes most of his shots. He is one of those rare players. he doesn't need many shots to score a lot of points."
Paulino played with the H-Squad at both the adidas Big Time and Oakland Slam N Jam Elite 8x2 Tournaments.
