Kendrick Davis Decides

Kendrick Davis, a 6-3, 175 pound shooting guard from Clements H.S. in Houston, Tex., has signed a national letter of intent to attend Arkansas.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com confirmed the commitment with Kendrick's mom Katrina on Tuesday.

Davis visited Arkansas this past weekend and entertained new Razorbacks Head Coach Stan Heath in his home on Monday night, Apr. 15.
Davis had taken one other trip this spring to New Mexico State, and took a fall visit to The Citadel.
Davis, who enjoyed a productive summer with John Eurey's Houston Superstars program, exploded onto the national scene in December at the Academy National Tournament in Houston with some excellent offensive performances.
Once he attained a qualifying test score during the school year high majors got heavily involved with Davis.
"When he went up there to visit, he really liked the schools and the coach," Mrs. Davis said. "He got along well with the players, he liked the conference they were in, and they had a good business and finance center, and he wants to major in that."
Mrs. Davis said that Kansas State, Florida State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Houston all made late pitches to her son, but he felt most comfortable with the situation at Arkansas.
Davis impressed us with his slashing and scoring ability off the dribble at the Best of the Summer Tournament in Los Angeles, where the Houston Superstars finished second to the Long Island Panthers.
According to his mom, the southpaw actually signed the letter of intent last night.
Davis is the first recruit of the Stan Heath era in Fayetteville, Ark. Heath replaced Nolan Richardson as the Hogs' head coach last month after the school bought out the contract of the longtime Arkansas mentor.
