Keith Wilright Enrolls In JUCO

Keith Wilright, a 6-9, 235 pound freshman center/power forward from Oakland, Calif., has enrolled at San Jose City College in San Jose, Calif.
Wilright, who had attended Oakland Tech H.S. prior to the 2000-2001 school year, spent the better part of last year at a prep school on the East Coast. He played at several tournaments this past spring and summer with Potomac Valley Blue Devils squad.

An impressive physical specimen, Wilright has been a bit of an enigma because he does not always put forth a consistent effort on the basketball court. That will likely change this year as he will play for one of the better and more disciplined oriented junior college head coaches in the country in San Jose's Percy Carr.
Wilright played for San Jose C.C. at this past weekend's 2001 California Fall JUCO Showcase, which was held at Fullerton J.C. He appears to be in better shape than when we saw him last fall, but still plays the game in spurts of productivity.
Wilright is expected to spend two years in junior college before presumably moving on to the Division I ranks. JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his progress over the next few years, so stay tuned.
