Kee opening doors for self

The point guard position is drying up quickly in the class of 2007 and coaches are looking all over the country for a player that can help in the backcourt. Martavis Kee has been a must-see player this season for a number of schools.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound point guard from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has made it worth the trip for the coaches, too. Kee is averaging 24 points and five assists a game for his team and winning games along the way.

Boston College just came in on Saturday and Wake Forest stopped by earlier last week. Clemson, Illinois, Miami and Michigan have all been at a game this year as well, Kee said. While there aren't any favorites at this point, Kee said he's keeping his eyes on all-comers.
"Michigan State has slowed down because they got some other players," Kee said. "But I know Miami is coming hard. Coach (Frank) Haith said he's coming out to see me and I think they are getting close to offering me. Virginia Tech has always been there and Bruce Weber said he'd probably be coming down in February."
With players dropping at a daily quick in his class, Kee said he is contemplating when he'll decide on his future school.
"I was thinking about that a lot lately," Kee said. "If I find the right situation, I might do it after the season or after Nike camp (in July). I'm looking for a place with good players and a place where I can have a good relationship with the staff. All of the schools recruiting me are in good conferences."
Kee said he is holding offers from Clemson and Virginia Tech at the moment.
