Kaun Will Decide On Tuesday

Alexander "Sasha" Kaun is in the process of making the biggest decision of his young life. The 6-foot-11, 245-pound center from Florida Air Academy in Melbourne, FL., just returned from his official visit to Duke. Now that his last visit is complete, Kaun hopes on making a commitment in the very near future. .
“I picked up Alexander from the airport earlier today and we had a nice talk about his visit to Duke,” Goporo said. “He told me that things went pretty well and he liked the visit. Alexander will take a few days before making a decision about what school he will attend.

“Alexander also said that his visit to Duke was a little different than his visit to Kansas, but they basically did some of the same things," he added. "Coach Chris Collins showed him around and just gave him a tour of the campus.”
Now that Kaun has completed his final official visit, he will take a few days to compare each school before making a decision.
“Right now, I need to compare the two schools and sleep over everything,” Kaun said. “I’ll have a decision by Tuesday or Wednesday. Everybody is all the same right now. It’s a very hard decision for me.”
Goporo said Kaun has some classroom obligations to take care of before he makes his decision. In the meantime, the head coach will lay low until it's time to announce.
“He has a difficult decision that must be made, so I’m not going to pressure him,” he added. “I know that he really likes Coach Self and the coaching staff at Kansas a great deal. But I also know that he had a good time this weekend with Coach Collins, other members of the Duke coaching staff and the other players.”
Rivals.com ranks Kaun No. 23 on the Rivals150 list and the fifth best center in the class of 2004.
