Nassir Little has been on the radar for quite some time as one of the better prospects in the 2018 class coming out of Florida. This travel season playing with 1 Family has only helped his recruitment take off even more.
With his play during the two open weekends in April, North Carolina and Kansas decided to get involved in the four-star small forward’s recruitment. Georgia Tech, USC, Virginia Tech, Florida, South Carolina, Florida State, and Miami are some of the other schools around the country making a push to sign the explosive 6-foot-6 wing.
IN HIS OWN WORDS
Little spoke about his interest in some of the programs involved in his recruitment.
North Carolina: “They said I could come in and help their program and be another piece along with the guys they have to help them win another national championship.”
Kansas: “They have just been saying they like my game and like what I can do. They are going to keep watching me during July.”
Georgia Tech: “I like Georgia Tech. I have a really good relationship with their coaches. I’ve been on their campus multiple times. They said I could be a big piece along with some other guys to help build them up.”
Florida: “They have just been saying I could be the hometown hero type of guy. I’m only 45 minutes from Gainesville. Most of my family like the Gators. I feel like it’d be a good opportunity for me.”
WHAT'S NEXT
Little doesn’t appear to be in any rush to put his recruitment to an end. He’s going to spend June working on his game, play out the rest of the travel season in July, and then see where the recruiting process is at when he leaves the adidas event in Las Vegas at the end of July. If he likes his options, he could make a decision before his senior season. If not, he’s open to playing out his senior season before making a decision during the late signing period.
RIVALS REACTION
If Little continues to play at the level he did most of the spring, his list of scholarship offers will only grow throughout the summer. Judging by his comments on when he’s going to make a decision, it seems like he’s waiting for some perennial powerhouse programs to get involved, and possibly waiting to see if Kansas or North Carolina put an offer on the table.
