Kansas latest to offer emerging three-star Days

Darius Days currently sits at the back end of the 2018 Rivals150 at No. 113 overall, but he’s due for a bump at the next update of the rankings with his play this travel season for the Florida Vipers. The Florida native is slightly undersized but hard playing power forward who presents mismatch problems with his versatility similar to how Draymond Green does for the Golden State Warriors.

Kansas is the most recent program to extend a scholarship offer to Days. Pittsburgh, LSU, Texas A&M, Louisville, USC, Missouri, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest have also been involved with him the past few months.

IN HIS WORDS

Days reflected on the teams in pursuit of his commitment.

Kansas: “It’s a great program. They said they like the way I play. They want me to come over there for a visit.”

LSU: “It’s a new coaching staff there, so I think I can go in there play early. I like that.”

Pittsburgh: “It’s a cool program. Me and Coach [Kevin] Sutton talk a lot. We have a great relationship. We talk about coming in and play a lot just like LSU.”

Texas A&M: “It’s a good program. They have done well there. It’s the same thing as LSU and Pittsburgh, they said I could play early.”

WHAT'S NEXT?

Days is most focused on working on his game during June and finishing up the travel season strong during July. After the summer, he said he’ll start looking more closely at all his options and figure out which schools he’d like to visit. A decision could come sometime before the early signing period in November, but don’t be surprised if he ends up waiting until after his senior season to make a final decision.

RIVALS REACTION

At this point, if Days does have any favorites, he’s not tipping his hand one bit. Judging by quotes with some of the schools recruiting him, playing early is going to be very important when he starts taking a closer look at the programs recruiting him.
