Kansas lands big man target

Saturday afternoon Kansas assistant coach Joe Dooley dropped in for an in-home visit with Braeden Anderson. Shortly thereafter, Anderson called up Bill Self and committed to the Jayhawks.
A 6-foot-8 power forward who hails from Canada, Anderson saw no need to drag things out.

"I've committed to play at Kansas," Anderson told Shay Wildeboor of Jayhawk Slant on Sunday afternoon. "I had to call Coach Self today before letting anybody else know, but my decision is final. I'm a Jayhawk and I couldn't be happier with the decision I've made."
Athletic with good length, the three-star power forward played his senior season at Wilbraham and Monson Academy in Massachusetts.
Anderson joins a recruiting class that already includes five-star wing Ben McLemore and four-star point guard Naadir Tharpe.
