Kansas, Bama climb in rankings
A number of teams in the Rivals.com 2011 National Team Recruiting Rankings added players over the spring signing period. St. John's, Alabama, Texas, Illinois, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Georgia and Kansas added recruits during the period, but Alabama and Kansas were the only schools whose ranking were impacted by their additions.
Alabama is the big mover since the last ranking release, jumping all the way from No. 12 to No. 5 with the addition of five-star prospect Trevor Lacey. The Tide beat out Connecticut, Kansas, Kentucky and Auburn to land Lacey.
Kansas jumped Vanderbilt to move from No. 29 to No. 28 after adding Rivals150 prospect Jamari Traylor.
Looking at the rankings from a conference standpoint, the Big East leads the way with eight teams followed closely by the SEC with seven teams in the top 30 rankings. The ACC, the Big 12 and the Big Ten all tied for second by placing four teams each in the final team rankings. Rounding out the rankings is the Pac-12 which has three teams included in the group of 30 teams.
