Kach Could Be Ivy League Bound

Michael Kach, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound point/combo guard from the Winchendon School in Winchendon, Mass., is wrapping up an official visit to Pennsylvania today.
According to Winchendon Head Coach Mike Byrnes, Penn came in to Winchendon earlier this fall to look at Kach, and came away impressed with the Carmel, N.Y., native.

Due to excellent grades and a strong SAT score (1100), Byrnes alerted several Ivy League programs that Kach would be an ideal target for them. Brown and Yale also came into Winchendon, but Penn was the program that moved quickest.
"If he likes it, he's going to Penn," Byrnes predicted.
Byrnes added that Penn has been able to come up with a favorable financial aid package for Kach. If Kach can boost his SAT score 100 points and finish among the top 20 academically in the senior class, it would clinch the deal for Penn.
Kach helped his stock on Sunday at the War on the Shore when he knocked down four three pointers in the second half on the way to 18 points as the Green Wave posted a come from behind 105-92 victory over Laurinburg Institute Prep.
We'll keep you posted on Kach's situation until it reaches a conclusion. Stay tuned.
