Kabongo solid with Texas

To say the least, the last five days have been a little hectic for Rick Barnes and his staff at Texas. But, the Longhorns staff can breathe a little easier now that Myck Kabongo has re-affirmed his pledge.
Things got a little crazy last Saturday when news broke that the 6-foot-2 point guard at Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep was opening his recruitment.

For a short time, Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse and Kentucky were in play along with Texas. But, as of Thursday morning, Kabongo is all Longhorn.
"That's the case," said Findlay Prep assistant Todd Simon of Kabongo committing to Texas again. "I know the way Myck is, and if he's saying that he's not playing around either."
A five-star prospect who ranks #24 overall in the 2011 Rivals150, Kabongo headlines a solid Texas class that also includes four-star prospects Sheldon McClellan, Julien Lewis and Jonathan Holmes.
