Justin Jonus, a 6-6, 200 pound swingman/shooting guard from Douglas H.S. in Douglas, Ala., said he has several scholarship offers on the table this summer.
Jonus, who was the spot up shooting specialist last month for Kenny Harris' Alabama Ice program at the adidas Big Time Tournament, said he has offers from West Virginia, Tulane, South Alabama and St. Louis.
In addition to those schools, Jonus said he is also hearing from Utah, Brown, Penn, Princeton, Florida State and Memphis.
He said that West Virginia has turned up the heat on him in the past week, and that he is now very interested in visiting the Big East program. He has already unofficially visited Alabama, since his Ice squad holds their practices at the SEC school.
This past season at Douglas H.S., Jonus averaged 26 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block per game. He said he has a 3.6 GPA and scored an 18 on the ACT.
Jonus attended the adidas ABCD Camp and adidas Big Time Tournament during the hectic July evaluation period.
We will keep you posted on Jonus' recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
