Ellerbe was pretty well known coming out of high school in Greensboro, N.C. He's a terrific slasher and finisher who plays bigger than his height might suggest. If his shooting from deep continues to improve this year at Iowa Western, Ellerbe's recruitment could go pretty high in the spring.
However, Coach Lovewell said he expects many of the Reiver sophs to sign in the fall. Ellerbe and his teammates will be on display this fall at a pair of jamborees -- Jerry Mullen's K.C. Jamboree on Oct. 5 and Rick Ball's Central Missouri State Jamboree on Oct. 14.
Ellerbe shot 55 percent from the floor last season, and he is expected to increase his scoring averages significantly this season after the departure of several key Reivers.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his recruitment in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned!
