When Southern Illinois has been at their best in the Missouri Valley, they've had tough guards who can score. Saturday night, Chris Lowery picked up a 2012 guard cut out of that mold when Antonio Drummond picked the Salukis.

A native of Peoria (Ill.) who has moved on to La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere, sources confirmed that Drummond committed while on an unofficial visit to Illinois.
Standing 5-foot-10, Drummond is neither a highlight athlete or lethal shooter. But, he's exceedingly tough off of the bounce, has a knack for putting the ball in the net and is somebody who is going to keep coming at defenders.
A three-star prospect affectionately known as Bobo, Drummond runs with Mike Mullins' Illinois Wolves during the summer. He's the Salukis first commitment from the class of 2012.
