JUCO Player Decides
David Ruffin, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound small forward/shooting guard from Connor State Junior College in Oklahoma, made a verbal commitment to Hartford today. Ruffin, originally from Buffalo, New York, played for Turner Carroll High School two years ago.
Ruffin is considered athletic slasher with a mid-range jumper. He has big time hops, around a 38-40 inch vertical jump. Ruffin is likely to play the wing position at Hartford when he is eligible in 2004-2005.
Ruffin averaged 11 points a game for Connor State while starting 31 games. He also considered Arkansas State and was being looked at during his recruiting process at one time by Kansas State.
