Joseph Commanding High Major Attention

In the preseason, Memphis bound Sean Banks got most of the ink for the Bergen Catholic basketball program. This winter, Banks' teammate, 6-7, 200 pound Adrian Joseph, has emerged as a high major basketball target in his own right.
In fact, you could make the argument that Joseph is as important, if not more important, for B.C. because of his total impact on the game. He rebounds, blocks shots, and is an active tapper on the offensive glass. He also shows some perimeter skills from time to time that suggest he could male the transition to the small forward slot at the next level.

As Rivalshoops.com has mentioned in previous articles, Joseph will need to attend prep school next year, so many of the schools are recruiting him as a 2004 target. A native of San Fernando, Trinidad, Joseph is in his second year at Bergen Catholic, which is located in Oradell, N.J.
Joseph told Rivalshoops.com that St. Joe's has offered him a scholarship, while programs such as Florida State, South Florida, Maryland, Providence, Villanova, UConn and Pitt have been in contact with him this year.
Joseph said he's received letters from prep schools like the Hill School in Pennsylvania and Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, but says he'd like to stay in the New Jersey area next year. He cited Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., as a potential destination.
Rivalshoops.com plans on catching Bergen Catholic in action several more times this winter, so we will keep you posted on his prep school and future college plans.
