Jones Looking at Two

Center/power forward Joseph Jones from Normangee High School (Texas) will take his visit to Kansas scheduled for October 17, but only if he does not make a commitment before then.
“Kansas wasn’t ready for me to commit,” Jones explained. “I guess they were recruiting other players, and they got guys ahead of me.”

The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Jones is now focused on Houston and Texas A&M. He has had in-home visits with both schools and has had several unofficial visits with the schools due to his proximity to them. Right now both schools are even for Jones.
“I know both of them well,” he said. “So I will use my official visit on the school that I choose to commit to.”
Jones, the No. 12 center and No.113 player in the Rivals150, does not know when he will make a decision. Whichever school he feels will give him the best shot for the NBA will be the one that gets his commitment.
“I will choose the one that can help me out in the long run and get me where I want to go.”
