Now at Durham (N.C.) Mt. Zion Prep, 2009 five-star prospect Karron Johnson has plenty of recruiting interest. His travel team coach Tony Squire of the Richmond Squires tells Rivals.com who the 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward is primarily interested in.

"Right now Karron is still open, but Kansas, LSU, Memphis, Georgetown, Charlotte, Maryland are some schools he is interested in," said Squire. "And UConn called last week about him."
Charlotte made a favorable impression on Johnson when he took in Charlotte's midnight madness festivities.
"Karron really liked his time at Charlotte," said Squire. "It was his first time around a lot of fans yelling for him. It really got him excited. He'll take some more visits, but he doesn't have anything lined up at this point. He's not going to make an early decision. In fact, I expect him to take all five of his official visits. With all the coaching changes these days you can't afford to sign early."
Most important to Squire is the way Johnson is developing his game.
"Karron keeps getting better at taking people off the dribble and is shot is getting better," said Squire. "He is so versatile as a three/four and is a warrior. If his shot continues to improve, he will be dominant."
Karron Johnson scouting report:
Well built and athletic, Johnson is a formidable inside/outside threat. He can post up, score off the dribble and catch and shoot from three. Defensively, he can guard the four and the three position. He has all the physical tools of an elite prospect.
