Known as the consummate set up man, 2006 point guard prospect
Brian Johnson of the Winchendon School and originally from Baltimore, Md., is presently considering five quality mid-major programs.
"I'm just weighing my options right now and see what is the best fit for me," said Johnson, 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. "Santa Barbara and Wisconsin-Green Bay have offered. I'm also looking at UNC-Wilmington, Marist and Central Connecticut, which is where my dad played."
Averaging around 7 points and 7 rebounds per game for Winchendon, which finished 19-13, knows how to distribute the ball.
"The best thing I do is handle the ball and control the game," he said. "I don't turn the ball over and that's the most important thing for a point guard. I get the ball to people in the right position so they can make shots.
"I need to improve my confidence in making the outside jumper. I also want to increase my upper body strength."
On a three week break from school, Johnson said he would decide what schools to visit once he gets back to school.
