Johnson still down with the Deacons

Four-star prospect James Johnson, who burst onto the nation scene this summer, did not sign with Wake Forest during the early signing period, but the 6-foot-8, 215-pound small forward from Cheyenne East (Wy.) High School reaffirmed his commitment to the Demon Deacons.
"I'm still committed Wake Forest," Johnson told Rivals.com. "I just didn't sign because of academics. I'm working on my test score, so I can qualify. In the spring I'm signing with Wake Forest."

With two games under his belt this season, Johnson is averaging 19.5 points, 6 rebounds and an impressive 9.5 assists per game.
"I am seeing some double teams, but I'm also making it a point to get everyone involved in the game," said Johnson about his high assist totals.
Johnson is the No. 74 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
James Johnson scouting report:
Very athletic, Johnson both plays above the rim and shoots the ball well from outside. A combo forward, he does need to improve his strength in order to grind out rebounds and refine his overall skills with the ball.
