Johnson Staying East for Trip

Special to RivalsHoops.com
While many Winchendon players will be leaving the school for Thanksgiving break, 6-foot-6, 235-power forward Jermaine Johnson will be staying on the East Coast.
A native of Anaheim, Calif., Johnson is currently taking an official visit to the College of Charleston (Nov. 24-26). According to Winchendon Head Coach Mike Byrnes, Charleston and Long Beach State have worked Johnson the hardest thus far.
Johnson has gotten used to the East Coast. Two years ago, he attended the Trinity Pawling School in New York. Last year, he was a little further north up at Redemption Christian Academy in Troy, N.Y.
The past two summers, Johnson has played with Elvert Perry's Inland traveling club. A burly left-hander, he's impressed us with his footwork and skill in the low post despite being just an average athlete.
We'll keep you abreast on Johnson's recruitment as it continues to unfold in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
