Craig Johnson, a 6-6 1/2, 192 pound point guard from Crockett (TX) High School, has cut his top list down to two schools according to his step-father Darron Lane.

"Youngstown State and Baylor are the front runners right now," Mr. Lane said. "Craig had a great workout with Baylor and had an excellent weekend in Oklahoma at Swaim's event."
"He is now focusing on his grades and getting his grade point average and his test scores up," Mr. Lane added. "Youngstown State is showing the most interest but geography may be a factor in his decision. Craig has bumped his weight up to 192 and grew to 6'6 1/2."
"But Craig is still very wide open," Mr. Lane stressed. "He is going to wait until the late period to sign with a school. He will be on the campus of Texas A&M on an academics visit next weekend."
Other schools that have been recruiting Johnson include Utah, Old Dominion, Evansville, Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi and Stephen F. Austin.
Johnson averaged 14 points, five rebounds, and seven assists per game last season and was named the newcomer of the year in his conference. He is a lefty, a decent ballhandler and likes to take the ball to the hoop.
He has a 2.4 GPA and will be taking the SAT on Saturday and again in November.
