Johnson Does Make Decision

There had been some question in whether Winchendon's 6-foot-6, 235-power forward Jermaine Johnson would be making a decision this Fall. He did.
A native of Anaheim, Calif., Johnson took an official visit to the College of Charleston recently (Nov. 24-26). According to Winchendon Head Coach Mike Byrnes, Charleston and Long Beach State had worked Johnson the hardest this Fall. Apparently, the hard work paid off for Tommy Herrion and his assistant coaches. Johnson made a commitment to the College of Charleston after the visit.

Johnson attended the Trinity Pawling School in New York two years ago. Last year, he competed further up north in New York State at Redemption Christian Academy.
Johnson also played with Elvert Perry's Inland traveling club during summer AAU competition. A burly left-hander, he has good footwork and enough skill to damage bigger bodies with his offensive ability.
