Johnson: 2006 Point Guard Prospect

The Kansas City Keys will be led at point guard this summer by Dominique Johnson of Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kansas City. The Keys’ coach Harrel Johnson described to RivalsHoops.com the game of the 5-foot-10, 140-pound 2006 prospect as well as naming the schools showing early interest.
"Dominique is receiving early interest from St. John’s, Marquette, Indiana, Cincinnati, Tulsa, and Wichita State,” said Coach Johnson. "Dominique is extremely fast. He puts a lot of pressure in the defense. He puts defenses back on their heels. He can get to the lane and finish or get his teammates easy scores. With Dominique you have a leader on the floor. He makes his teammates better. He's a real good defender. He does a good job at pressuring the ball."

Beyond the obvious need to build up his body, Coach Harrel noted Johnson’s need to improve his shot off the dribble.
"Dominique needs to gain some weight and get stronger,” said Coach Harrel. “He also needs to work on shooting off the dribble, particularly going to his left."
