John Zito: Ready For Trip

John Zito, a 6-5, 190 pound small forward from St. Thomas More Academy in Oakdale, Connecticut, played yesterday at Wayne Simone's AAU event held on the campus of Yale. Zito, who played two seasons ago at Windsor H.S. in Windsor, Connecticut, is one of the mysteries this recruiting season.

Zito is athletic and has vastly improved his jumper. He needs to be in a system that has some structure to it. AAU ball has little structure or concept of team play. So it's not really a good atmosphere to get a detailed feel of his game.

John is a great teammate to have because he pushes aside individual stats for team glory. Zito recently saw William & Mary drop out. But LIU has offered and Zito is planning a trip there. UNC-Greensboro has also contacted John and his is also seriously interested in that school too, according to John's dad.
